This is the second year of using the garlic salt block. It seems to make all the difference in keeping flies from the donkeys. We have waited too late both years and flies became a pest so we could see the results the garlic made. We would recommend no to wait until flies become an issue - it's not fair to the animals. Start the block in spring so flies never become a problem. The people at Seven Springs are great too!!!
