Overview
Coconut Coir is a natural fiber made out of coconut husks and is a renewable resource alternative to peat moss. The extraction of the coconut fiber husks results in a by-product called coco pith or coco coir. Coconut Coir is a 100% natural growing medium and is triple soaked by monsoon rains for 18 months while on the ground and dried in the sun to Ultra Super Wash™ the coconut fiber to ensure salt content is below 0.3-0.5mS/m and a pH of 6.0-6.5. This makes an excellent growing medium for hydroponics or container plant growing. The red color of the coconut pith block hints at product maturity.
