Answer: From the FDA website: “The VFD final rule outlines the process for authorizing use of VFD drugs (animal drugs intended for use in or on animal feed that require the supervision of a licensed veterinarian) and provides veterinarians in all states with a framework for authorizing the use of medically important antimicrobials in feed when needed for specific animal health purposes.”
Kelp has never required the supervision of a veterinarian for feeding, is not a drug and is not be by this rule. It is always a good idea to keep your vet informed of all supplements fed to your animals and care should be taken feeding it to iodine sensitive animals like horses or cats, sticking to recommended doses and making sure the kelp is their only iodine source. Sincerely, Thorvin
I've been wanting to incorporate iodine into my feed, water, and soil for my farm. Kelp provides a good opportunity to do this. This kelp, designed for livestock, was exactly what I was looking for; and I gotta say, my animals have made noticeable improvements since introducing it. Thank you
I've used Thorvin Kelp for several years now with our herd of meat goats. They love it and thrive on it. We have much fewer problems with parasites and they are generally more healthy and resilient!
They eat it like candy. They have been more healthy since I've added kelp to their diet. I mix garlic with it for the goats, first time I've been able to get them to eat garlic.
High quality product that we have fed to our goats for years. We mix it with their loose minerals otherwise they will gobble it all up in minutes. The health benefits are great (research it) and they love eating it.
My goats love it as a free choice source of minerals
The best kelp I've found for chickens turkeys goats and horses, every animal on the farm gets it!
my goats love it and coats look amazing with this product
This is the best kelp on the market from all the research I have done for my animals
Great product my animals love it and do well on it.... thanks.
I have been using the Thorvin kelp from Seven Springs Farm for years for my garden and animals. Great stuff.
Thorvin Kelp is recommended by Joel Saltine of Polyface Farms in VA, why I originally bought it. Very, very pleased with the product. My Tennessee Fainting Goats inhale it as do my hens! I also feed it to my Great Pyrenees, old cat (16 years old) and new Cairn puppy.
7 Springs Farm has been my source - dependable delivery, best online price.
nice and clean, smells good to me but I'm having to coax my goats with molasses water sprayed on it
